The Bucks Youth Cricket Trust exists to support the development of youth cricket in Bucks by the tax efficient accumulation and distribution of funds to Clubs and other organisations having a demonstrable need for financial support.

The Trust supports projects that exhibit the potential to improve junior cricket in the County, or young cricketers who would benefit from funding assistance to enable them to take up development opportunities. All applications made to the Trust are considered with great care by the Trustees who endeavour to ensure that the greatest possible benefits are secured from the available funding. Allocations are made in accordance with the Trust’s Charitable Objects as set out in the Trust Deed.

The ability of the Trust to support Bucks Cricket is entirely dependent on the generosity of individuals, businesses and other charitable funding agencies. Any donation is, of course, gratefully received but it is especially helpful for the Trust to receive regular contributions by standing order, as this enables the trustees to plan ahead with a more certain revenue stream.

Where donations are made by private individuals under the Gift Aid scheme the Trust will receive an additional 28p from the Government for every £1 donated. Donors who pay tax at the higher rate can reclaim further tax relief on their donation.

UK income tax payers can make regular donations through their employer’s Payroll Giving Scheme. You make your donations straight from your gross (pre tax) pay. This saves the Trust time and money in administration as BYCT doesn’t need to claim the tax back from HMRC. Furthermore, if you are a higher rate taxpayer, BYCT will automatically receive all the tax on your charitable donation. So to donate £10 gross per month costs you only £8 if you are a basic rate taxpayer or £6 if you pay higher rate tax at 40%.

Individuals may also make a legacy provision which would not form part of their estate for inheritance tax purposes.

Individuals who are planning to run, walk, cycle, swim, climb, jump, bat, bowl, lose weight, give up smoking, or set any other personal goal, can also use their event to raise funds for the Trust via Virgin Money Giving.
