User guide for Managers

Entering a cup result
Entering a league result
Locating other managers

The competitions subsytem of the Bucks CB website allows managers to enter results from league and cup matches. Only one manager can enter the result and we suggest that it should be the duty of the winning team in the case of a result or the home manager in the case of an abandonment. If a particular fixture is not visible then the other manager has already entered the result. A manager must login to the website using the supplied username and password and before he/she is able to enter a result must indicate for which teams he/she is responsible. This is done through the My Account link at the top left of the menu.

When a manager enters a result it does not become official thus updating the league tables or the knockout draw until the result has been reviewed and signed off by the results administrator so a little time may lapse between you entering the result and the tables being updated.

Cup Results

In the case of a cup result a simple win/loss is all that is required. Click on the Enter Cup Result menu, select the age group from the drop down list and you will be presented with a list of matches for your club.

You then simply click on LHS Win or RHS win depending on whether the left hand or right hand side has won the match. If a fixture is not visible it means that the opposition manager has already entered the result.

League Results

League results are a little more complicated to enter and must be done so in full so the correct result can be calculated and the net run rate per team determined. Click on Enter League Results from the menu and then locate the match for which you wish to enter the result and then click Edit.
If the opposition team has failed to fulfil the fixture it is known as a walk over. In this case tick the box walk over home (WOH) or walk over away (WOA).
If the fixture has not been played due to weather and will not be played within the cut off period then it is considered to be abandoned, simple click the Aban box.
Otherwise enter the full result. It is most important that the runs, wickets and overs are entered correctly. Round up overs to the next whole number (do not enter 14.5 etc) and for U10 matches the number of overs is always 20 for a complete match.
In the event of ground, light or weather reducing the number of overs played enter the actual overs and if 10 of the second innings have been bowled a result will be calculated. Where batsmen have retired on reaching the maximum score for their age group they are "Retired Out" so they should be included in the number of wickets that have fallen.

When all the information is complete press the Update link.

Locating Managers

If you need to find out the contact details of another manager select the Locate Manager link from the menu and select the club from the drop down list. A table of managers and their teams together with contact details will be displayed. If there is no information here then we suggest that you go to the Clubs section on the home page menu, locate the club and click on the secretary or junior secretary name to send a message via the contact form.
