All Umpire and Scorer training in Bucks is delegated to the Buckinghamshire Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers.  BACUS, which is an independently constituted body, is a constituent member of the Bucks Cricket Board and is affiliated through the Board to the England and Wales Cricket Board.

BACUS runs Umpire and Scorer courses throughout the County which lead to nationally-recognised qualifications.  It also conducts short courses for the benefit of players, coaches, managers and parents who wish to become familiar with the roles of both Umpires and Scorers without committing to a full course.  Anyone wishing to undertake training at any level is invited to contact the BACUS Training Officer on 01494-443464.

Please note that in all ECB competitions including Premier leagues and National Knock Out, umpires must now supervise the toss.  This offers umpires the golden opportunity to remind Captains of their responsibilities.  Please see our News Section for further details.
